We are looking for talented individuals interested in participating in the upcoming MUSIC FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DE MUSIC SAINT-GEORGES in Guadeloupe (the composer’s birthplace) as choristers. Joining a choir offers many benefits, including the opportunity to sing a variety of songs from different styles and cultures, improve your musical skills, develop your vocal technique, gain confidence, explore your creativity, make friends, build relationships, and develop performance skills. Joining the Saint-Georges Festival Choir will provide you with invaluable experience and exposure.

Performances


The Festival Chorus will perform as part of the 2025 Festival International de Musique Saint-Georges. The repertoire includes choral works by Leoncavallo, Joseph Bologne, Moses Hogan, a new composition by Guadeloupean composer Christian Gaspaldy, and more.

In addition to performances, the Chorus will also be invited to participate in two workshops during the Festival.

Dates: November 15th - 22nd, 2025, in Guadeloupe, France.

Auditions


All participants are required to audition, either in-person or via video. The program is limited to 30 participants.

Audition Repertoire
Please perform the following repertoire at your live/video audition:
  • Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges (1745–1799) - Laudate Dominum.
  • Ruggero Leoncavallo (1857–1919): Pagliacci (choral excerpts).
  • Moses Hogan (1957–2003): Joshua Fit from Battle of Jericho.

Cost and Travel


While there is no fee to participate in the Festival Chorus (apart from the non-refundable application fee), participants are responsible for covering the cost of their travel, accommodations, meals, and on-island transportation during the Festival.

The estimated total cost for participants traveling from Nashville, TN in the United States is approximately $2,500 USD per person. This is an estimate only—final pricing will be confirmed at the time of booking and may vary depending on departure location, airfare fluctuations, and room type.

All Festival Chorus participants are required to book their travel through Valcourt Travel. This ensures that group logistics, including arrival coordination, accommodations, rehearsals, and performances, are streamlined and managed across all participants.

What’s Included in the Estimated Package Cost
  1. The $2,500 estimated package includes:
  2. Round-trip airfare to Guadeloupe from Nashville, TN (alternative departure cities may result in adjusted pricing).
  3. 7 nights’ hotel accommodation, from November 15 to November 22, 2025.
  4. Full board (three meals per day).
  5. Two Festival concert performances as part of the Festival Chorus.
  6. One full-day choral workshop.
  7. Two guided excursions:
    • Chevalier de Saint-Georges History Tour
    • Wonders of Guadeloupe Nature Tour
  8. Beach shuttle service on non-performance days.
  9. Masterclasses and workshops with:

  10. Selected tickets to Festival concerts featuring international artists.

Guadeloupe Residents
Guadeloupe residents do not need to pay for the travel package, and are responsible for making their own way to all rehearsals, performances, masterclasses, and workshops.
